Role in Nutshell
To help us shape the future we are redesigning and rebuilding our experiences across all product areas - holiday money, international transfers, cards and banking to establish a new unified experience. To deliver this ambitious project we have formed an integrated product, design and engineering teams that would design and build the particular experiences across product areas, all coming together to form a unified experience using latest technologies and methods.
The Lead Product UX designer, working closely with product manager and engineering lead in each product area, would lead the creation of an experience anchored in user needs and sound product strategy. The Lead Product UX designer would design, prototype and test the experience taking it from experience maps and task flows through sketches to detailed wireframes, working hand in hand with engineers to deliver an MVP and continue to build a fully fledged product.
Acting as part of a design team, the Lead Product UX designer would collaborate and align with other designers on experience maps, product barometers, patterns and styles that output consistent appealing designs and crucially a unified wholistic experience.
A bit about you
We are looking for a UX designer with deep knowledge and broad experience user centred design methodologies
Have strong analytical skills and ability to synthesise understanding from multiple inputs to drive product and experience strategy, influencing effectively what is the right thing to build
Be a genuine problem solver that can go beyond the obvious to generate canning yet simple and elegant solutions
Have solid grounding in experience design methods, interaction design, HCI principles and IA. In particular using experience maps and product barometers to map user needs to features and be able to identify gaps and opportunities to improve the experience
Be able to breakdown, assess and plan design work from product maps and general requirements engaging with stakeholders to negotiate design activities into the overall development process
Be comfortable with presenting ideas to stakeholders, helping them buy into design proposals in specific and good design in general
Be proficient with Figma or Sketch for wireframing and creating mockups
Be able to prototype efficiently to test ideas with appropriate level of fidelity using tools such as invision, proto.io, etc. Being able to prototype in code a massive advantage
Experience in shaping and running user testing sessions and translating finding to design interventions
Have experience working with agile & scrum methodologies
Have good communication skills
Be a strong team player with a willingness to teach ways of working to others within your team
