The UI design lead, working closely with the Head of Design, will own product and marketing UI. The main goal of this is to guide and craft beautiful, functional and consistent UI designs across touch points. Drawing from a brand system and our brand identity, working hand in hand with other designers and front end developers, this person would be responsible for applying and expanding our design system and code library to the unified platform we are building.
As part of this effort, the UI design lead will orchestrate the delivery processes for all UI related work, and will establish processes that unblock delivery while maintaining a high level of quality. Working with stakeholders this UI designer will ensure design effort follows business prioritise and that the business buys into design priorities.
The design team will rely on the UI design lead to establish ways or working within the design practice, define the design process and methodologies, and adopt new tools that can help design better and effectively.
When presenting to stakeholders the UI design lead would be a quality hero and details aficionado, helping stakeholders buy into good design and ship high quality product.
We are looking for a UI designer that...
Have created beautiful digital products, preferably money/ finance related.
Have established, built and crafted digital design systems
Have led UI work in either agency or inhouse, and successfully managed stakeholders
Have orchestrated delivery pipeline and design capacity of a design team, successfully negotiating changing priorities and request for design resource.
You have a strong aesthetic sense
You give clear direction and you’re comfortable leading other designers
You are organised and systematic with design work
You are persuasive and can capture your audience with arguments for good design
